Rackard League
Ballindaggin girls Rackard League team played their final group game against Craanford in Coolree today. After victories against Rathnure, Loretto Gorey and Blackwater a win would have put the girls through to a Roinn A semi-final.
Ballindaggin went in 0-2 to 0-0 ahead at half time. Craanford battled back hard to level the game at 0-2 to 0-2 with ten minutes left. Craanford managed to score a goal after a period of pressure which put them ahead with five minutes remaining. The Ballindaggin girls battled hard and came close to scoring on a couple of occasions but Craanford held out in the end to top the group.
The girls now play Glynn in the Roinn A quarter final at 3pm in Monageer next Tuesday May 26th.
