Application and Decision Dates for admission to 2024/2025
The following are the dates applicable for admission to Junior Infants
The school will commence accepting applications for admission on
22/01/2024
The school shall cease accepting applications for admission on
14/02/2024
The date by which applicants will be notified of the decision on their application is
28/02/2024
The period within which applicants must confirm acceptance of an offer of admission is
14/03/2024
Note: the school will consider and issue decisions on late applications in accordance with the school’s admission policy.
*Failure to accept an offer within the prescribed period above may result in the offer being withdrawn
Number of places being made available in 2024/2025
The number of places being made available in junior infants
On Friday October 27th our school will close for midterm break at 1:40pm for Infants and at 2:40pm for all other classes.
There will be a Halloween Disco for all children in the Community Hall during school hours organised by our Parents Association and all children are invited to dress up if they so wish.
School will reopen at the usual time for all children on Monday November 6th.
Next week is National Walk to Schools Week with Wednesday being National Walk on Wednesday.
This is part of the Green School Initiative and we encourage all families to make an extra effort next week to walk part of their journey to school.
We have the perfect facility for Park and Stride and encourage all families to park at the church and walk to the school gate.
For those that live close enough we encourage you to walk the full route to school.
Our Green School Committee will be keeping record of all the pupils in their class that walk all or some of the way to school and there will be a reward for our walking champions at the end of the week.
Hopefully the weather will allow us all to participate.
Active School Week takes place in school from June 6th to June 9th this year. We have lots of fun activities planned for classes this year.
As part of our Active School Week we will host a timed 5km run/walk at 7pm on Tuesday June 6th starting and finishing at the school.
We encourage all pupils and parents to participate in this event. There will be cash prizes on the night for first adult male, first adult female and first child across the finish line. There will also be a number of medals for other children on the night.
Registration will take place on the evening of June 6th at a cost of €5 per adult and €2 per child.
All funds raised will go towards the betterment of resources within our school.
