Halloween 2023

On Friday October 27th our school will close for midterm break at 1:40pm for Infants and at 2:40pm for all other classes.

There will be a Halloween Disco for all children in the Community Hall during school hours organised by our Parents Association and all children are invited to dress up if they so wish.

School will reopen at the usual time for all children on Monday November 6th.

Happy Halloween to all our families.

Walk to School Week

Next week is National Walk to Schools Week with Wednesday being National Walk on Wednesday.

This is part of the Green School Initiative and we encourage all families to make an extra effort next week to walk part of their journey to school.

We have the perfect facility for Park and Stride and encourage all families to park at the church and walk to the school gate.

For those that live close enough we encourage you to walk the full route to school.

Our Green School Committee will be keeping record of all the pupils in their class that walk all or some of the way to school and there will be a reward for our walking champions at the end of the week.

Hopefully the weather will allow us all to participate.

School is Closed for Summer

School is now closed for summer holidays.

The school office will reopen on August 28th and all pupils return on August 30th.

If you need to contact the school for any reason during the summer holiday period please email stcolmansnsballindaggin@gmail.com

Please note that it may take some time for a response during the summer period.

We hope that all of our pupils and their families have an enjoyable and safe summer and we will see you all again in August.

Ballindaggin NS Fun Run

Active School Week takes place in school from June 6th to June 9th this year. We have lots of fun activities planned for classes this year.

As part of our Active School Week we will host a timed 5km run/walk at 7pm on Tuesday June 6th starting and finishing at the school.

We encourage all pupils and parents to participate in this event. There will be cash prizes on the night for first adult male, first adult female and first child across the finish line. There will also be a number of medals for other children on the night.

Registration will take place on the evening of June 6th at a cost of €5 per adult and €2 per child.

All funds raised will go towards the betterment of resources within our school.

Looking forward to seeing those of you that can make it.
